it that 강조구문과, 가주어 진주어(it ~ that) 차이 구별

올해 고2 내신에 나오는 it ~ that 강조구문 

( 시제가 현재면 it is ~~ that, 과거면 it was ~~ that)

 

1. I studied English yesterday. 를 강조해 보자.

 

It was                     that.

 

강조하는 방법은 쉬워도 쉬워도 너무 쉽다.

It was ~~~~~~~~~ that 사이에 강조하는 단어 넣어주고, 

나머지는 that 뒤에 쭉 써준다.

 

I 강조 : It was       I      that      studied English yesterday. 

English 강조 :   It was        English            that    I studied yesterday.

Yesterday 강조 : It was     yesterday         that    I studied Ensglih.

Studied 강조 : 동사는 이런 방법으로 강조하지 않는다.( 동사강조는 동사 앞에 do, did, does를 써주고 동사 원형을 써준다.  ex : I do love you. He did study hard.)

 

2. 그럼 해석은 어떻게 해야 하는데?

 

두 가지 방법이 있다.

ex) I 강조 : It was       I      that      studied English yesterday. 

1) It was ~~~~ that을 빼고 그냥 해석 : 나는 공부했다. 영어를 어제.

2) that 이하는 I 야 : 어제 영어를 공부한 건 나야!

 

ex) Yesterday 강조 : It was     yesterday         that    I studied Ensglih.

1) 어제 나는 공부했어 영어를

2) 내가 영어를 공부한 건 어제야!!

 

3. 교과서의 예를 가지고 와보자.

 

 굵은 글씨의 단어를 강조하는 강조구문을 만들어보자

1) My friend spread the rumor. →It ___________________________________________________.

2) Bill wants to go to Japan for a holiday. →It __________________________________________________.

3) She bought a pen as a gift for her aunt. →It ________________________________________________.

 

정답

1) was my friend that [who] spread the rumor

2) is Japan that Bill wants to go to for a holiday

3) was a penthat she bought as a gift for her aunt

 

4. 문장을 보고 it that 강조구문인지 구별하는 방법

 

1)

 It was       I      that      studied English yesterday. 

 It was        English            that    I studied yesterday.

 

2) It was true that I studied Ensglih.

 

: 문장 1)은 It was ~ that을 뺐을때 

나는 공부했다 영어를 어제

영어를 나는 공부했다. 어제

와 같이 해석이 된다.(말이 된다)

 

하지만!! 문장 2) 은 It was ~ that 을 뺐을때 

진심인, 나는 영어를 공부했다. 와 같이 말이 되지 않는다.

 

이문장은 It ~that 가주어 진주어 구문이다.

 

5. 추가 설명

강조하는 것이 사람일 때는  that 대신에 who , 사물일 때 that 대신 which, 시간의 부사(구)일 때 when, 장소의 부사(구)일 때 where을 쓸 수 있다.
