비교급 ( than 꼭 쓰기)

1. 비교급과 최상급 만드는 방법

대부분의 형용사/부사	+er/+est	tall-taller-tallest
e로 끝나는 형용사/부사	+r/+st	nice-nicer-nicest
'자음+y'로 끝나는 형용사/부사	y를 i로 고치고 +er/+est	heavy-heavier-heaviest
'모음1개 + 자음1개'로 끝나는 형용사/부사	마지막 자음 한번더쓰고 +er/+est	big-bigger-biggest
2음절 이상의  형용사/부사	more/most + 형/부	careful-more careful-most careful difficult-more difficult-most difficult
불규칙 변화	good/well-better-best bad-worse-worst many/much-more-most little-less-least far-further-furthest

: 두 개를 비교하는데 서로 정도가 다를 때 사용한다.

 

 

4. 비교급 비교  공식은?

 

비교급  than~~( ~ 보다 더 한)

 

 

5. 예를 들어보자.

 

1) 짧은 단어인 경우

 

민수 is taller than 주형. (민수는 주형보다 크다.)

Time flies faster than an arrow. ( 시간은 화살보다 빨리 간다.)

 

2) 긴 단어인 경우

 

민수 is more  handsome than 주형. (민수는 주형이 보다 잘생겼다.)

민수 is more important than 주형.( 민수는 주형이 보다 중요하다.)

 

3) 부사가 들어가는 경우

 

민수 runs more quickly than 주형. (  민수는 주형이 보다 빨리 뛴다.)

She travles more slowly than me. ( 그녀는 나보다 더 늦게 이동한다.)

 

 

6. 비교급 강조

 

비교급 앞에 " much, far, a lot, even, little, far "를 넣어서 비교급을 강조할 수 있다. 이때 해석은

" much, far, a lot, even, little, far " => 훨씬

 

ex) 민수 is much taller than 주형.  민수는 주형이보다 훨씬 크다.

 

 

7.  자주 틀리는 부분

 

ex) 민수 is much taller than 주형.  비교급 강조 자리에

 

민수 is  very taller than 주형.(x)

민수 is too taller than 주형.(x)

 

very 나 too는 비교급 강조로 쓸 수 없다!!!
