- 뜻: 힘든 상황을 참고 견디다, 꾹 참고 하다.
- Examples:

(그녀는 백신을 맞고 싶지 않았지만, 건강을 위해 참기로 했다.) - He had to bite the bullet and take the exam, even though he felt unprepared.

4. Bite your tongue
- 뜻: 하고 싶은 말을 참다, 말을 아끼다.
- Examples:

(내 친구가 무신경한 말을 했을 때 나는 말을 참아야 했다.) - Sometimes it’s better to bite your tongue than to say something you might regret.
